CREDIT CARDS: We take Visa, Mastercard and Discover. Unfortunately, we do not take AMEX any more. If you want to use AMEX, you can do so through PAYPAL when we reactivate it in October.

CHECKS: Money orders and bank checks are fine. Personal checks are good, too - though we may wait 1-2 weeks for them to clear.

• As has always been our policy, We do not take requests to hold kits (reservations) by mail, email or phone.

• If you want to be notified of any developments, send us an email and we will put you on our email list. We do not announce the start of pre-orders by snail mail.

We only have one kit available at a time/per year for sale. All previous kits are sold out. Our kits are not sold in stores and can only be ordered from South River modelworks. You can order on line using our secure server or call, write or fax your order. Do not use e-mail to send your credit card order! However, please feel free to e-mail us for any additional information, questions or concerns. Thank you!

Overseas customers are welcome. We generally ship by insured Air Mail. As costs vary greatly, we recommend that you please contact us first so that we can give you a quote on shipping costs. See below for additional information
Please note that when you order in-line, your credit card is not charged until the day your order is shipped.

THE PAYPAL OPTION

Our Paypal system is set up so that U.S. and Canadian Customers can order directly through Paypal. Even if you do not have a Paypal account, you can use this option!

We do not have an Overseas Paypal option because we have to individually calculate shipping. However, we can sometimes work with you to create a Paypal Invoice - please inquire

ADDITIONAL SHIPPING INFORMATION for 2011-2012

ALL DOMESTIC SHIPMENTS IN THE LOWER 48 WILL BE BY UPS - WE WILL ONLY USE THE USPS FOR SHIPMENTS TO AK AND HI AT YOUR REQUEST AND AT EXTRA COST (SEE BELOW) UPS HAS AFFORDABLE GROUND SHIPPING TO AK & HI.

We do not use the USPS. Because of a substantial rate increase in USPS rates, Our 6- 7 lb, 16" x14" x8" shipping carton falls under the "dimensional weight" category that USPS is uses. To ship a kit to AK or HI costs us over $30.00! - and shipping cost are per kit.

UPS rates have been rsing, though and surcharges for just about everything under the sun have made it very hard for us to break even on shipping. We can't promise, but if you live east of the Mississippi, we may be able to save you some on shipping for multiple kit orders. CANADIAN AND OVERSEAS ARE BY USPS AIRMAIL

FOR CANADA: UPDATE/JAN 2012 Postal rates have increased dramatically ....read on - There is a partnership with the Canadian Postal System and the USPS, so we will still ship to Canada by USPS. Currently, Our (postal) cost for a USPS 6lb., 12oz. insured airmail package to Canada is $42.50 , not including the cost for packaging. We recently raised the charge to you to $37.50. from $30.00. We still lose money on shipping to Canada, but feel the charges are way too high and do not want to budren the customer with the full cost. UPS is a lot cheaper, but there are brokerage fee problems. If you have a UPS account and like dealing with them, we can ship UPS any time.

FOR OVEREAS: Similarly, we will be using the USPS Air Mail service for overseas shipments. As with all Canadian services, there have been prices increases, but at a more modest level the the domestic rates.

Some approximate sample rates for USPS Priority Mail International are: 50.00 to the U.K, Germany, France and Italy. $60.00 to Hong Kong, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Arrival times (to the Customs service of the destination country) range from 6-10 days. Express mail, which has better tracking is available for about $10.00-12.00 additional. Arrival times (to the Customs service of the destination country). are reduced to 3-6 days. We want your kit to arrive quickly and safely so we will make a recomendation for you on a case by case basis.

PLEASE NOTE: For all overseas orders that are placed from our on-line system - your shipping charges will be calculated and sent for your review/approval before processing your order. Total charges will not be billed to your card until the day we ship your kit.

SHIPPING SCHEDULE

With all UPS Domestic shipments, your order will be shipped Monday-Friday, For the first few weeks after the introduction of a new kit, there can be up to a 5-10 (working) day delay before your order ships. Otherwise, orders ship within 24 hours.

Canadian and overseas shipments are sent on Saturdays during the busy season ( October through November)
